1. BASIC PROFILE: 124th PAF ARU (Philippine Eaglecom Society, Inc)
PERCOG, or Philippine Eagles Radio Communications Group, was its original name until a group of members, led by Nilo “50” Raymundo (Founder), Piling “00” Lopez, and Ed “358” Jorgensen, with a love for radio and music, thought of substituting PERCOG with the catchy acronym EAGLECOM. In a voice vote, EAGLECOM replaced PERCOG, and the rest is history. In fact, its very name has inspired the group to soar through a successful series of projects in the service of its citizens and country.

EAGLECOM was considered elite since the group had the most sophisticated communications equipment, transceivers, receivers, and repeaters. In addition, its members were of high quality, coming from the military, judiciary, and other professions, including doctors, lawyers, CPAs, newsmen, and TV and movie personalities. Its humble beginning, however, started as a fledgling under the wings of "The Fraternal Order of the EAGLES" under the leadership of COL PETE “348” BALBANERO—Philippine Eagles, whose Lifetime Honorary President was GEN FABIAN VER.

After a series of general membership meetings, plans were laid, and three weeks later, on September 24, 1980, the SEC recognized EAGLECOM as a juridical body. EAGLECOM was introduced to the public through its ambitious maiden project, the Plebiscite of April 07, 1981. A memorandum of agreement was signed between the Commission on Quick Count and Accurate Count through Judge Hermenigildo Cruz and Mr. Pete De Jesus and EAGLECOM’s Charter President, Piling “00” Lopez and Operations Chairman, Joe “99” Aguinaldo.

After spreading its wings, EAGLECOM soared higher. On November 7, 1990, under the leadership of Engineer Reynaldo Garcia, it entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Philippine Air Force under the Air Force Reserve Command.

Since then, EAGLECOM has flourished into a very outstanding group with services-oriented projects.

EAGLECOM is currently under the leadership of LTC VICENTE L LLAVE JR (GSC) as its President.
